Thick, shiny,
deep green, broadly heart shaped oval leaves measure 2 - 4 in on
trailing stems up to 3 ft. long. Flowers of light yellow with a red and
brown center 2 - 2.5 in. across, last a day or so but are produced in
succession. Surviving in as much as 12 - 15 in. of water, it
grows best in shallow waters of about 6 in. Winter over indoors in
non-tropical climates in a shallow tub of water or pot up in a hanging
basket and keep it moist in at least 10 hrs. of light daily. |
