Floating Plant Islands for the Pond

A fun way to plant marginals, bog plants, ferns, mosses or any moisture loving plants for the pond. With these containers you do not have to stack bricks to raise the plants to the surface and you can put the plants in any spot you like at any depth of water. The containers float on the surface of the pond so they take up less space and allow more space for the fish.

They are designed so the plant roots grow out the bottom of the container, cleaning the water and providing hiding places for fish and a natural spawning material. You can secure the floating islands with the anchor that is provided or leave it off and let them drift in the wind. You can tie several floaters together with zip lines to make a raft for a dramatic display. You can also remove annual plants in the fall and plant mosses for added winter color and interest.
